Five Research Groups have been defined, namely

RG2. High Speed Networks and Optical Communications
RG3. Broadband Wireless and Sensor Networks
RG4. Software Engineering and WEB Applications
RG5. Algorithms and Security
Each Research Group has its well-defined vision and mission. Research activity within each group is focused. Excellence for their research results is the goal they pursue and, for that, measurable strategic objectives have been set. Research groups perform their research in a highly synergistic way among themselves and with the wider scientific community.
