Dr. Dimosthenis Arhodidis is a Teaching Fellow at AIT. He is currently an Assistant General Manager and Head of Global Markets Sales at EFG Eurobank Ergasias. He focuses on all aspects of capital markets (origination, syndication, distribution, derivatives and structured products). In the past, he has worked for strategy consulting firm Monitor Company on various projects in the United States, United Arab Emirates and Greece. He also worked as a structurer and sales person of structured derivative products (interest rate, equity, FX and credit) for the Emerging Markets and Equity Derivatives Groups of Bankers Trust London. After the acquisition of Bankers Trust by Deutsche Bank (June 1999), he worked in the Structured Credit Derivatives Group at Deutsche Bank London. Dr. Arhodidis completed the Ph.D. in Business Economics program (a combination of the Ph.D. and the MBA programs) at Harvard University/Business School on a full fellowship. His dissertation focused on industrial organization and strategic alliances and their financial effects on small partners. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College (ÖÂĘ, Summa Cum Laude) where he concentrated on Economics and Mathematics and received honors in both fields. He also spent a year as a visiting student at the London School of Economics.

Yiannis Vithynos has extended experience in the
 management of complex, high-end projects of Information and Telecommunication Systems in Greece and the Balkans. As part of Nokia Networks SA, and making use of global teams with both internal and subcontracted resources, he has managed projects including:
 

  • Implementation of 2G, 2.5G and 3G Mobile Telephony networks.

  • Cross-country online connection of telecommunication systems between Greece and Albania.

  • Support of the mobile telecommunications infrastructure of the Athens Olympics 2004.

  • Installations and upgrades of network operations supporting IT systems (network management, workflow management, provisioning systems etc).
    Additionally, he has experience in the project management of European Research Programs.

He has (January 2005) the Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI®), the biggest global Project Management professional organization. He also has (June 2006) the Advanced Project Management Certification (APMC), as part of a Nokia Networks global pilot team on Project Management.

During the last 18 months, Yiannis has delivered more than 400 hours of Project Management training, both in introductory and advanced levels.

Since October 2006, he is the Founder and Managing Director of “Critical Path Consulting & Training Ltd”, a company focusing solely on Project & Program Management services, including training, consulting and outsourcing.

Yiannis has graduated as Electrical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens in 1991, and he has an MSc (distinction) in “Telecommunication & Information Systems” from the Essex University (1992).

Dr Jiorgis Kritsotakis is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Organization at the Hellenic American University. Jiorgis has previously lectured full time on strategy and organizational change at the Management School of the University of St Andrews, UK. As a visiting faculty, Jiorgis has also taught at the University of Dundee and at the Athens University of Economics and Business. Jiorgis’ research focuses on the process of strategy formation in dynamic industries and the management of innovation and organizational transformation.
Before joining the Hellenic American University, Jiorgis Kritsotakis was a senior strategy consultant at the London Office of a global consultancy firm, specializing in the converging Communications and High Tech industries. Jiorgis’ work was focused on enabling client organizations to achieve higher performance through the design and management of enterprise-wide organizational change.
Jiorgis holds a BSc (Marketing Management), an MBA (Innovation and New Venture Management) and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management.

Mr. Aristidis Gikass is a Teaching Fellow in Financial and Managerial Accounting at AIT.
He holds an MBA in Business Administration from McGill University with a concentration in Finance and Accounting. He brings several years of intensive experience in top management positions such as Finance Manager in Johnson & Johnson Hellas AEBE for seven years and General Manager in the Group of Olympiacos Club companies for five years reporting to the President Mr. S. Kokkalis before he started his own accounting, tax and consulting office in 2005.
During his professional managerial career he used to teach as a part-time activity. Since 1990 he has taught in colleges in Greece and Universities abroad at the undergraduate and MBA levels.

Dr. Xenia Ziouvelou is a Teaching and Research Fellow at AIT. She holds a Ph.D in Economics focusing on Industrial Organisation and strategic pricing in electronic markets and a Masters Degree in International Business from the Department of Economics of the Lancaster University (UK). She has also been awarded with a B.Sc in Business Administration, with specialization in Quality and Operations Management, from the American College of Greece. For more than three years she held the position of a Research Officer at the Athens University of Economics and Business in the research center ELTRUN, the e-Business Center of the Department of Management Science and Technology. Her research focused on business modeling in the context of Electronic Commerce. Xenia worked as a Project Manager in the IST Project E-FACTORS, which aimed at determining factors of broad and sustainable adoption of new e-business models. Since September 2005, she is a member of the IRIS Research Group of the Information Systems Technology Laboratory (ISTLab) of the Athens University of Economics and Business; while she acts as an external expert for H+S Technology Solutions S.A. Her principal research interests are in Industrial Organisation analysis and Electronic Commerce as well as in Strategic Pricing, Business Modeling and Business Strategy in Technology Mediated Markets.

Dr. Nikos B. Pronios  (npro@intracomdefense.com) is a Teaching & Research Fellow in Strategic Management at AIT. Dr. Pronios obtained his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California (USC) and M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering also from USC in 1988 and 1984, respectively, after earning the Professional Diploma in Electrical Engineering from University of Patras, Greece in 1982. He was a research and teaching assistant at USC until 1988. From 1988 to 1992 he was a Member of the technical staff at Bell Communications Research (Bellcore) New Jersey, USA, where he was responsible for exploring new services concepts for visual applications and broadband communications services.

In 1992, he joined INTRACOM’s Development Programmes Dept., where he worked on a variety of projects ranging from networking architectures to Broadband Access Systems. He held the positions of Department Manager of the Development Programmes Department from January 1999 until Dec. 2005, and Manager of the Emerging Technologies Department of INTRACOM S.A. Telecom Solutions from January 2006 until November 2006. On November 2006, he joined INTRACOM Defense Electronics S.A. responsible for the Business Development for Network Centric Solutions.

He has participated in numerous RACE, ACTS and IST research projects, while being Technical and Project Manager in several of them (BC3, ADAMAS etc). His more recent technology areas of focus are Broadband Wireless Networking and Business Processes-Interoperability.

At AIT he teaches the Strategic Management course.
Mrs. Angela Simeonidis is a Teaching Fellow at AIT. She holds a MBA from City University Business School (London, UK) and a BSc. in Business Administration from the American College of Greece.

She started her career in 1991 at Sealand Services Inc (innovators of containerized shipping) in Pireaus, Greece, heading the customer service department for importation, transhipment. She then went on to work for leading multinationals such as: Citibank (in London, UK as well as in Athens, Greece); FIAT Auto Hellas in Product Management and Brand Management positions. Throughout her career, she has been heavily involved in the New Product Development Process. More specifically, she was responsible for the development of the Citibank Visa Member-get-Member programme at Citibank, London UK; the development of an International call centre to support Citibank customers globally; represented Citibank Greece in the development of the European Customer Satisfaction Survey in the mid 1990s. She spearheaded the development of the FIAT, Lancia and Alfa Romeo, “Autocare” programmes, “Assistance” programmes as well as the “Top programme” and “Auto-expert” used car retail services programme.

Since the 2000, she has headed University of Huddersfield (UK) undergraduate and post-graduate Business programmes in Athens and served as chair of a number validations processes, including that of the British Accreditation Council.
Mrs. Angelika Tzemou, is a Teaching Fellow in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at AIT. She holds an MSc in Human Resource Management (CIPD accredited) from Surrey University School of Management and a BA in Sociology from the American College of Greece. Her 10 year extensive experience in HR focuses on international search & selection projects, HR development and employer branding strategy. Ms Tzemou has held HR Consulting roles in the UK and in-house HR management positions in Greece, in the Banking sector and in the Athens 2004 Olympic Games Organising Committee, where she had the HR management responsibility of a team of 2,500 people. She is currently working as a freelancer on selected HR consulting projects in Athens and London.
 
Mrs. Stella Voulgaraki, is a Chartered Psychologist in Greece and the UK. She has acquired her first degree in Psychology from a Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki and her MSc in Organisational Psychology/Behaviour from City University, UK (recognised by the British Psychological Society). Ms Voulgaraki is qualified to use occupational and personality tests both in Greece and the U.K.. She has worked as a Recruitment Consultant for Manpower Athens and Boyden and as a Human Resources Manager for KANTOR Management Consultants. She has over 10 years of experience in Human Resources Management and Consulting and has delivered several trainings. For the past 3 years, she works for INTRACOM IT Services as the Human Resources and Administration Manager.
Mr. George N. Hazapis, MBA/MA, is a Teaching Fellow in Strategic Management at AIT. He holds an MBA in Business Administration from Marymount University with a focus in Finance and Merger and Acquisitions and an MA in International Affairs with a concentration in International Political Economy from the American University where he studied with a School of International Service Graduate Fellowship. He brings several years of intensive experience in academia, corporate training and the consulting industry. Working on business planning, strategic management, the evaluation, analysis and development of business best practices in Strategic Management & Marketing, Six Sigma, Venture Capital, General Corporate, or Internet/Technology & Innovation.
Areas of interest include strategic management, organizational behavior, leadership, e-commerce entrepreneurship, e-marketing, change management and executive coaching. Mr. Hazapis has taught Economics, Money and Banking, Marketing, Management, Management of Information Systems, Advertising and Promotion, Media & Business Communications, Business Policy & Strategy. He has been affiliated with a number of institutions, conducted corporate training and is active as a business consultant.
