AIT has a vibrant and growing international community, with a student body from more than 20 countries. We are very privileged to share the unique opportunity of assisting in their realization of their goals while also benefiting from their culture and experiences. AIT has taught its students to think more creatively. Bringing talented and deserving students to AIT from around the world, they are able to learn, live, and study together, under the same sky where some of the oldest and most precious values of humanity were conceptualized. The relation between science, math, and Greece, is historically documented.

That is why AIT must do still more. We must respond to the demands of a evolving world by further improving our educational programs and research activity.

In 2002, the founders of AIT had a vision:

• promote scientific knowledge
• offer specialized educational programs on new technologies
• establish links between tertiary education and the job market
• develop Greece’s national intellectual capital
• bolster Greece’s leading role in the modernization of SE Europe

How has this vision been materialized?

• AIT offers three internationally-competitive graduate programs and a PHD program, autonomously or in collaboration with leading worldwide academic institutions. It has awarded scholarships to over 300 students from over 2 countries. Our 350 alumni to date are professionally established throughout the world
•  AIT’s research is supported by nine fully-equipped laboratories and a faculty internationally recognized for their academic achievements and commitment to excellence; collaborations have been established with leading research institutions; and participation in European and national research and technology programs. AIT’s research awards and findings are published in scientific journals and presented at global conferences.
•  In an effort to strengthen Greece’s national intellectual capital and to bolster Greece’s leading role in the modernization of SE Europe, AIT has forged close ties with some of the world’s foremost educational institutions, such as Carnegie Mellon University, Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and Denmark’s Aalborg University.
•  AIT’s executive training programs (many of which are free to the public) prepare executives for technology management needs of the future, in addition to providing leadership skills to negotiate effectively across a broad range of issues and organizations.

Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund

In keeping with the spirit of AIT, our mutual vision, a commitment to human progress and empowerment by providing new opportunities to all and creating a fertile environment for high quality advanced education, AIT offers full scholarships and financial aid to the qualifying and deserving students who will be our future scientists, engineers, and executives
To achieve this, AIT has founded the AIT Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund in order to support students with high academic records who come from economically limited backgrounds.
The AIT Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund is an integral part of this institution. Talented and deserving students from low-income families are given an internationally competitive tertiary level education. It is not only an excellent opportunity for companies and institutions to incorporate it as part of their respective corporate social responsibility programs but it also provides deserving students with the opportunity to achieve their goals and become members of a professional resource pool which ultimately benefits your organization.
