Embedded Systems and High Performance Computer Architectures (ESCA)

Research topics

ESCA places high emphasis on having research projects and a strong relationship with industrial companies. Currently, our research is in the field of high performance multi-core architectures for embedded systems. Both the design of new architectures and the exploitation of commercial available architectures (e.g. the IBM Cell Broadband Engine) for high performance applications fall within our interest.

Specifically:

Reference designs and architectures (composability, parallel systems, self- organization of systems, architecture dependability);

Seamless connectivity and middleware (resource management, programming);

Design methods and tools (System-level modelling, test/validation/ verification);

Software development for enhanced user experience of media and applications.

AIT's 1st Gaming Forum a Success!

AIT's 1st Gaming Forum was a two day celebration of Gaming that brought together the Greek gaming industry with academics and gaming enthusiasts of all ages. The Gaming Forum was co-organized with the British Council and Cowboy Tv and realized thanks to the support of Grand Sponsor hellas online, Gold Sponsor intralot, Sponsor the EU project KnowInG and Grand Communication Sponsor MTV.
