Gaming Forum 2012
Welcome to the 1st Gaming Forum 2012 held by Athens Information Technology, Athens and co-organized with the British Council, Greece. The 1st Gaming Forum 2012 is held in collaboration with the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, Athens Plaython and IEEE Student Branch of the University of Patra. The 1st Gaming Forum 2012 is envisaged to become an annual networking and information sharing event aimed at discussing trends in game design and its applications in entertainment, education and marketing; analyzing the business of gaming and creating a game development community The 1st Gaming Forum will be a two-day event, on April 27th - 28th 2012, comprised of two parts: GAMING FORUM CONVENTION 2012 on the 27th April 2012
a) the Gaming Convention: a networking and information sharing event which aims to bring together the academia and industry to discuss various topics related to the concepts of gaming and gamification: from industry trends to applications in areas such as education, marketing, branding and audience engagement.
b) the Gaming Contest: which aims at bringing together game enthusiasts and game developers, in order to facilitate the creation of highly innovative game ideas and working game prototypes. GAMING ARENA on the 28th of April 2012
Gaming arena: a festival based on the culture of video games! Tournaments with the most popular video games, music from Red Bull and MTV DJs, challenges and many prizes for the participants.
