Non-EU Applicants: June 30, 2010

The MBIT reflects AIT's belief that a good education is more than a matter of theory and books. Active classrooms, courses tied closely to actual management experience, and a diverse student body representing various academic and industry backgrounds contribute to a fuller, more useful education. It provides students with the necessary background and skills for a successful international professional career in the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) industry. It is designed to tackle today’s critical challenges in managing innovation in a technology-driven, globally competitive business environment. This program addresses the needs of those who wish to develop critical strategic management skills, who exercise leadership and decision-making under technological and market uncertainty, and who are responsible for the commercialization of technical advances and innovative ideas. The MBIT develops essential business skills and balances strengths in the traditional areas of accounting, finance, operations, and marketing with careful attention to the development of skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and leadership essential to effective performance in organizations.
The MBIT tackles future critical challenges in managing innovation in a globally competitive business environment and addresses the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) industry’s increasing demand for individuals who can combine technical expertise with business skills. It focuses on three critical competencies: strategic management, innovation management, and techno-economic value analysis of new products and services, placing equal emphasis on how to analyze business situations and implement suitable action plans.

Students will be able to identify key technological trends and disruptive technologies in the ICT industry; evaluate the potential of and develop a complete business plan for a new service or product; manage its production through to mass market acceptance and implementation; and plan for the next generation product in the context of the overall company product portfolio.
To enter the program, prospective students must hold at least a first university degree as well as at least two years of proven work experience.
The duration of the course is 12 months for full-time students and 24 months for part-time students. Requirements for completion of the program are 4 core courses, 4 elective courses, and the Graduate Project.
The language of instruction for the programs is English.
Full and partial scholarships are offered to all accepted students.

"I think one of the key factors that made MSITT such a unique experience, was the low number of students in AIT, unlike large cold universities with thousands of students where you get lost in the crowd. We got to see everyone almost every day and we could give our feedback at any time in a direct way."
